Serve as liaison between program personnel and technician volunteers to assign and manage work.Consult with program personnel to determine the need for technician volunteers and ensure appropriate volunteer opportunities.Conducts spot checks and audits on equipment quality and safety in HELP depots throughout the region.Provides training, coaching and feedback to volunteers regarding equipment reprocessing.Assesses need for equipment, tools and parts and advises coordinator of needs.Assists in reorganizing storage areas to improve efficiency and safety.Records and reports product incidents to Distribution Manager.Provide client support service duties as required. Additionally, this role will provide customer service support from time to time.Ensure that HELP medical equipment is cleaned, repaired and maintained according to the standards set by the Canadian Red Cross society.Inspects and maintains HELP equipment according to established standards.Ensures that the equipment that is not repairable is retired on database and is disposed of properly.Monitor the supply of parts and make recommendations for purchase when necessary.Ensures that cleaning and repair room is kept clean, safe and organized.Oversee the Hubscrub(s) to ensure it is in good working order. Once logged in, you will be able to see the status of your prior applications and apply for new positions.

Make service calls as  deemed necessary.Actively engaged in Occupational Health and Safety meetings.Provides expert technical advice to staff and volunteers regarding equipment.The minimum qualifications for this job are completion of Grade 12 and some post secondary education in a related field.
