Room was great! Surrounding countryside and moors are spectacular. The Horngarth offers accommodation in Whitby. We walked everywhere and enjoyed our peaceful view of the river and even saw some boats come through the swing bridge. The Abbey was a must on our visit and the Whitby Brewery by the Abbey was excellent if you like micro breweries and craft beer. Whitby’s centre and rail station are 15 minutes’ walk away. YHA Whitby offers extensive gardens, 24-hour access, and a restaurant. There is also luggage storage for guests. Walking out on the harbour walls with an ice cream or coffee and fresh donuts was lovely, and when the tide was out, the beach is big and sandy and good for pebble hunting and generally messing around on. Lovely friendly staff.The bed was awesome very comfortable partner even asked where they got it from as would like one at...So clean, warm and quiet. It’s in a nice location and the breakfast was good. We travelled with our dog Luna, rooms are very spacious!!
This charming family-run hotel has a great restaurant and a wonderful, peaceful location on Whitby’s West Cliff, near the seafront and within walking distance of the town centre.
We liked that we could use the spa before check in and it was a lovely walk from the hotel in to whitby (approx 45 mins along the coast).
