Its a relatively short trail(took me about 10 minutes or so from start to finish). The nicely paved Bethpage Bikeway runs alongside suburban roads for long segments of the route, but it’s much more than a suburban trail. Bethpage State Park is operated by the New York State Office of Parks and Recreation. If you plan on visiting, please wear a face covering and maintain social distance. It gets a little hilly when you enter the park.. Once in the parking lot at the end of the trail go to your left and you can pick up the single track at the end of the lot. The Brickyard segment on Strava (aqua blaze) was the most challenging trail I've found there and the yellow/blue dot and yellow/red dot blazed trails were fun as well.Some areas of bethpage are intermediate, if you go around this time of the year better use a fat bike since there's snow and plenty of mud on the groundToday was my first thorough exploration of the brickyard. The NYS Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is extending the existing 6.8-mile Bethpage Bike Path from the picnic fields at Bethpage State Park through Trail View State Park on to Woodbury Road for a total length of 12.5 miles of shared-use bikeway. 1-in a couple of spots the climbs were impssible due to loose gravel/sand-no one can climb them fully without dismounting and 2-it was too short, personally i prefer a longer loop.
