Demineralized 40% Sweet Whey Powder (SWP D40) is produced from by-product of the traditional method of processing milk with starter cultures, enzymes, acids, alkalis, formed upon receipt of cheeses - salty whey. Sweet Whey Powder D40 is obtained by spray-drying fresh whey, which has been previously pasteurized and demineralized by nanofiltration and to which nothing has been added as a preservative. It contains all the constituents, except moisture, in the same relative proportion as in the whey.

The process of demineralization of whey expands its use in the food industry.  Demineralized whey powder differs from natural greatly improved organoleptic characteristics, lower acidity and higher solubility. In recent years, greatly expanded range of food products using demineralized whey. This is primarily due to specific properties of demineralized whey.
